Columbarium & Prayer Garden

“In death, the separation of the soul from the body, the human body decays and the soul goes to meet God while awaiting its reunion with its glorified body. God, in his almighty power, will definitively grant incorruptible life to our bodies by reuniting them with our souls, through the power of Jesus' Resurrection.”   —Catechism of the Catholic Church, 997

The Columbarium is intended for the inurnment of the cremated remains of Catholics who are entitled to a Christian burial according to the rules and disciplines of the Roman Catholic Church and the regulations of the Bishop of Charleston, S.C.

Who can be inurned into the Columbarium? Answer: Registered members of a parish of any Catholic Church in the Diocese of Charleston, S.C. together with their immediate family Members (as defined below), including non-Catholic family members, are eligible persons for the privilege of licensing niches and having their remains inurned therein. For purposes of this document, (immediate family members) are defined to mean the spouse, children, and parents of the registered Catholic parish member licensee. (The Pastor may, with the authority and permission of the Bishop, without notice to others, make exceptions, suspensions or modifications of any of the rules when it appears advisable to the Pastor).

Niche sales have been steady with only 15 niches remaining for sale. The total cost for a niche, which is designed to accommodate two urns, is $3500.00.

On each Columbarium unit, Saint Paul, and Saint Peter, the end panel is specifically reserved for memorializing deceased family members or friends who may be interred elsewhere, or that you would simply like to remember here in our Columbarium. The cost of each inscription is $1000.00 and are now available for purchase.
